I’m Your Man (flu)

November 6, 2009

Arrgggh. I’ve had this cough/sore throat/snot thing all week and it got really bad today so off to the Doctors…

I have a test to see if you need to resort to professional medical help in these cases… it’s a simple one. If I can hit the low note in Leonard Cohen’s “I’m Your Man” then I need to go to the doctors.

So, off I went and to prove it I recorded this little version of the song whilst I can sing that low. Won’t last long.

Used my stylophone too!

Clip from the show last weekend. This was at the Riverside Cafe Bar as part of the ‘Down by the Riverside’ festival.

I Scream Cone Thumbnail

Hey people. I’ve finally got around to finishing off the ukulele EP called ‘I Scream Cone!”.

It’s a five track collection of Uke songs, including one called Abracadiva that I wrote in a transit van on the way to the International Brotherhood of Magicians Convention with Andycam. It’s all recorded with various Ukes – mostly a National Soprano, a Vintage Dandy Line Soprano and Tiny Tim’s Beltona Resonator.

You can get it via my website by following this link or ask me at one of the pub gigs/sessions.

I’ve just created a mixtape online and added to the website.
It features recent recordings, Ukulele and otherwise that are on this blog anyway but in a cool retro cassette tape flash player. Nice.

More old school jazzy Ukulele going on here.
Another submission recorded for the open invitational.

It was a late night first attempt!

Here’s a little recording made at tonights Ukulele Sunday session at the Riverside.

Lithium

February 27, 2009

I recorded this cheesy version of Nirvana’s Lithium as an entry in a kind of open mic session on Ukulele Cosmos where people record their own versions of a single song…

Break out the crackers! (Pickle is optional).
